Barclays Pakistan Opens Third Rural Area Branch
The Barclays Bank Pakistan has opened its first branch in NWFP. The branch is on the premises of Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC), located at Akora Khattak.
It said that Managing Director and CEO of Pakistan Tobacco Company Nicholas Hales performed the inauguration ceremony with Country Managing Director Barclays Bank Pakistan Mohsin Nathani. Also present on the occasion were senior team members of Barclays Bank, Pakistan and PTC.
The statement issued by Barclays Pakistan pointed out that Akora Khattak Branch is the third rural branch for Barclays in Pakistan and has been established to provide financial services to the employees of PTC and the residents of the region.
Barclays Bank Pakistan commenced operations in July 2008; and serves its customers and clients across the country through a network of 31 ATMs and 14 branches; five branches in Lahore, four in Karachi, one in Islamabad and two in Rawalpindi.
The Barclays network has already extended its presence to the rural centres of Mangla, and Rawat with a branch in each of these locations.
