RBS Donates Ambulance to Healthcare Centre

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has donated a gas-powered ambulance to Maternity and Child Healthcare Centre (MCHC) in Mingora, which started its operations in the city on January 25, 2010.
The MCHC will not only contribute to the restoration of healthcare infrastructure and help communities to rebuild, but will also provide medical services for some of the most vulnerable groups in the region.

Bank Alfalah and PMN Ink Accords with IBA

Bank Alfalah Limited and Pakistan Microfinance Network recently signed two separate agreements with Institute of Business Administration, Karachi which will enhance collaboration among these organizations.
Through the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Bank Alfalah Limited (BAFL) and Institute of Business Administration (IBA), the Bank will provide Rs.33 million to the IBA Endowment Fund over a period of three years. This fund is aimed for MBA Banking and Financial Services, research and teaching courses.

Interest Free Loan for Students in Pakistan

National Bank of Pakistan in collaboration with four other major commercial banks in Pakistan is offering interest free loans for students. These interest free loans are aimed at helping students who need financial assistance to continue their education. Loans are provided to students enrolled in the disciplines of scientific, technical or professional education within Pakistan at graduation, post-graduation or PhD level.
The loan amount will cover educational fee, boarding charges and textbook expenses, but will not cover meals. Student will be required to repay the loan amount in a maximum of ten years starting for the date of loan disbursement. First More >
Barclays Pakistan Celebrates its First Anniversary

Barclays Bank (Pakistan chapter) celebrated its first anniversary of on July 23, 2009 marking the successful completion of a year of operations in Pakistan.
The first year celebrations took place simultaneously in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad and the cake cutting ceremony was attended by management, senior officials and staff members.
A statement by the bank said that Barclays recognized its employees achievements and the branches celebrated the day in true spirit.
